Many Exciting Events Coming to a Ken Near You!
So far we have been having fantastic time in the ken this year. Our younger chanichim have been learning about topics such as community, and tolerance, while older chanichim learned about Havdallah and kibbutzim at our solelim-chotrim sleepover. And of course, "zman kef" kenim (bowling and a scavenger hunt) were a blast.
Before the end of the year, we have a few very exciting events coming up.
KIDS KEN
This Sunday Dec 6th, from 4-6 at the MNJCC, we will be learning about Israel through BAKING! We will also be doing some fun activities about everyone's favourite holiday, chanukah! The event is for all chanichim in grades 2-6.
Whirly Ball
For Solelim and up, we will be playing Whirlyball on Saturday, Dec 5th. Whirlyball is a really fun mixture of basketball, lacrosse, and bumper cars, the event is from 7:00-8:30, at 65 Orfus Road. The cost is $10 per person, snacks will be provided.
Also, we are partnering with the JCC to bring you another exciting event:
Chanukah Carnival
From 11:00-2:00 on December 13th, drop by the MNJCC for a chanukah carnival complete with games, arts and crafts, and prizes. It's going to be a lot of fun!
Also.........
****SAVE THE DATE: On Friday, January 29, 2010 Camp Gesher and Habonim Congregation are going to host a joint Shabbat dinner for both organizations. It will be great to see all of you attending. More information will follow.
